Discover Our Work
The UVA Caregiving, Aging, Resilience, and Dementia (CARD) Lab is dedicated to understanding the challenges faced by caregivers of people with dementia. Our research examines the impact of caregiving on mental and physical health and seeks to develop rigorously tested, personalized interventions that benefit the caregiver and the care-recipient. Working alongside the Virginia Alzheimer’s Disease Center and the UVA Memory Disorders Clinic, we aim to improve the lives of those impacted by dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases, particularly the often-overlooked caregivers.
